How to run examples?
Browser (WAR archive) - If you want to silent print and view PDF from a browser window download the 'browser' sample WAR archive and simply deploy it in a web container. Read the tutorial for this sample which has further information about how to deploy this WAR archive in a web container. It also tells you which are the web programs to call and what arguments to pass to the URL for silent printing or viewing your PDF files.
Server and Viewer (ZIP archive for standalone applications) - Download the trial sample archives and unzip the ZIP archive in a local folder on your computer. It has everything you need to run the sample programs. Open a command shell window, go to the 'bin' directory where you may see further sub directories. You will see command line executable files such as .bat (for Windows) and .sh (for Unix/Linux) files. Simply type the .bat or .sh file and it will show the usage of the program. Try the same using the appropriate arguments. To know more read the tutorial next to each of the download link.
NOTE: [Please DO NOT double click on these .bat and .sh files but run from a command line because they require arguments such as license key, file name and other printing or viewing parameters. ]
License key
API requires you to provide a license key for evaluating the sample programs which is A8EC-73AF-64A9-0375. Use this license key for all trial sample programs in this web site.
Browser (WAR applications) - requires a license key which is already set in the sample demo script files available with the WAR archive download. You therefore do nothing about setting a license key but simply deploy the WAR and access the sample pages.
Server and Viewer (standalone applications) - For running the sample programs this license key is required as one of the argument to the .bat or .sh files.
If you are creating your own custom sample program, must set this license key at the very
beginning of your program (or pass as an argument to the .BAT/.SH executables) using the following statement. Following is an example.
...
//Set this license key for all free and trial version
//A8EC-73AF-64A9-0375
...
How long this trial license run?
Trial licensed archive may or may not expire at all. If it does expire contact us and we'll help you.
